Rugged & Durable
Built with high-strength steel and branded components to withstand tough road conditions

The KALES 3-axle 40-foot container chassis is specifically designed for maritime container and cargo transportation, ensuring both safety and efficient container handling. The welded container trailer is built to withstand the harsh conditions that semi-trailer container skeletal trailers typically face, ensuring a long service life. The main beam structure is both lightweight and robust, designed to handle heavy loads.
Engineered for Port Logistics. Certified for Safety.
What is a Skeletal Trailer?
A skeletal semi-trailer (also known as a container chassis) is a specialized, heavy-duty transport vehicle designed primarily for intermodal logistics. Characterized by its bare steel frame and ISO twist locks, it provides the structural backbone to securely load, lock, and transport 20ft, 40ft, and 45ft shipping containers between ports, rail yards, and warehouses.

In container transport, the chassis is the backbone. Standard skeletal trailers often suffer from metal fatigue and cracking after just two years of rough port operations. Kales solves this fundamental issue through advanced engineering:

We don’t use standard carbon steel. The main beam is forged from T700 High-Strength Steel, boasting a yield strength 2.5x higher than normal Q345 steel. It carries up to 60 tons without permanent deformation.
Hand welding causes inconsistencies. Kales uses Automatic Submerged Arc Welding Robots. This ensures perfect seam penetration, eliminating “stress concentration points” where structural cracks begin.
Before painting, every chassis undergoes intense Shot Blasting. This removes rust and relieves internal metal stress created during welding heating, extending the fatigue life of the entire frame.
We understand that port operations and road conditions in Africa, Southeast Asia, and South America can be punishing. Our design reflects on-the-ground reality:

“Our logistics company moves heavy bulk containers out of Mombasa port daily. The potholes and speed bumps used to crack our old chassis frames within months. Since switching to the Kales T700 skeletal trailers, we haven’t had a single welding failure. The central mounting twist locks are incredibly secure when we haul overweight 20ft containers inland.”
— Operations Director, East Africa Port Logistics
We don’t just build trailers; we verify them. Every Kales 40ft Chassis must pass a strict 4-step inspection protocol before export.
1. X-Ray Inspection
Detecting internal welding defects (air bubbles, micro-cracks) invisible to the naked eye.
2. Physical Load Testing
Prototypes undergo heavy physical loading to ensure main beam deflection remains within safety limits.
3. Brake Response Test
Rigorous testing of WABCO valves for rapid air response and emergency braking effectiveness.
4. Laser Alignment
Ensuring all axles are perfectly aligned via laser to prevent uneven tire wear and fuel wastage.

Yes. The Kales 40ft chassis is equipped with 12 high-strength twist locks and a reinforced T700 main beam specifically designed to handle the concentrated, uneven load of two fully loaded 20ft containers (totaling up to 40-50 tons) simultaneously without bending.
We highly recommend utilizing the Stacking Method. We can safely stack 3 or 4 chassis trailers together as a single bundled unit for Bulk Cargo or Ro-Ro shipment. This drastically reduces the total shipping volume and can save you up to 30% on ocean freight per unit.
Yes. We provide a comprehensive 1-Year Structural Warranty covering the main beam and chassis welding. We also supply a “Lifecycle Spare Parts Service” to ensure you can easily procure replacement parts like WABCO brake shoes or JOST twist locks years down the line.
Reliable Production. Global Export.

Yes, absolutely. As a manufacturer, we have a professional engineering team. We can customize the dimensions, loading capacity (e.g., 60 tons, 80 tons), axle brand (FUWA/BPW), suspension type, and paint color to suit your specific road conditions and transport needs.
We use high-strength Q355 or T700 steel for the main beam. This ensures the trailer is lightweight yet strong enough to withstand heavy loads and rough road conditions in Africa and Central Asia.
Standard models usually take 15-20 working days after receiving the deposit. For urgent orders, we can even shorten it to 10 days. We will keep you updated with photos and videos during production.
Our standard term is T/T (30% deposit, 70% balance before shipping). For large orders, L/C (Letter of Credit) is also negotiable.
Yes, we provide a 24-month warranty for the main beam. For spare parts (like brake pads, lights), we supply original parts at factory cost for the lifetime of the trailer.
At Kales Vehicle, we understand that shipping costs are a major part of your investment. That’s why we offer multiple transport options tailored to your destination and budget.
Whether you choose Container Shipping for protection, Ro-Ro (Roll-on/Roll-off) for speed, or Bulk Cargo for cost savings, we ensure every trailer is handled with care. All vehicles undergo rigorous wax spraying and are covered with waterproof tarpaulins before shipment to prevent seawater corrosion during transit. We calculate the optimal stacking method (e.g., 3 units stacked together) to help you minimize freight costs.
