Quick answer: choose this HOWO 371 crane truck when your operation needs a
stable 8×4 four-axle chassis, an 8.5 m reference cargo body, and a 14,000 kg maximum-rated
XCMG straight-boom crane on one platform. Choose a brand-new unit when lifecycle policy,
emissions compliance, and factory-new components take priority; choose a documented
premium-refurbished unit when lower acquisition cost and HOWO workshop familiarity matter
more. It is a practical fit for construction materials, pipes, equipment transfer, municipal
work, landscaping, and supported mining or oilfield duties. It is not the right choice for
lifts outside the selected crane load chart, outrigger requirements, ground-bearing limits,
or local lifting regulations.

HOWO 371 truck mounted crane with XCMG GSQS350-5 straight boom: an 8×4
lift-and-haul truck that combines an 8.5 m cargo body with a 360 kN·m rear-mounted crane. It
is intended for contractors and fleet buyers who need one vehicle to load, transport, unload,
and position heavy equipment or materials across multiple job sites.
This product reference was prepared by a team experienced in exporting Chinese heavy trucks
and construction machinery to Africa. Chassis data is based on the vehicle Certificate of
Conformity, while the crane data is checked against the XCMG GSQS350-5 technical manual. The
final order specification remains the controlling document for the delivered truck.
Buyers can order a brand-new build or a premium-refurbished HOWO build. Engine output,
transmission, cab layout, axle ratings, tyre package, cargo body, and crane model can be
selected around the intended load chart, route, local parts support, registration rules, and
budget.

| Maximum hydraulic boom length | 19.6 m |
| Slewing range | 360° continuous working coverage |
| Outrigger span | 2,454-7,562 mm |
| Installation space | 1,250 mm |

| Hydraulic tank capacity | 240 L |
| Crane self-weight | 5,723 kg |
The main value of this configuration is operational integration. The cargo body carries the
load between sites, while the rear-mounted crane handles self-loading, unloading, and
positioning. For dispersed projects and long transfer distances, this can reduce dependence on
a separate mobile crane and a second transport vehicle.
The 8×4 chassis uses two steering axles at the front and tandem driven axles at the rear. This
four-axle platform gives the body builder more load-distribution room for the crane base,
cargo body, outriggers, and payload, but legal axle loads and gross mass must still be
calculated for the selected chassis and destination country.
The reference truck shown uses a WD615.47 371 hp engine, HOWO cab, reinforced frame,
leaf-spring suspension, and new 12R22.5 tyres. Buyers are not limited to that one build. A
factory-new chassis can be selected for new-component lifecycle and current compliance needs,
while a premium-refurbished chassis can reduce acquisition cost after the engine, gearbox,
axles, frame, cab, electrical system, braking system, tyres, and crane installation are
inspected and documented.

The GSQS350-5 uses a reinforced synchronized telescopic system designed for loaded extension
and efficient boom movement. XCMG proportional flow-merging control supports smooth
micro-motion and coordinated compound movements, while automatic hook retraction can improve
transport preparation and operating efficiency.
The 14,000 kg value is the maximum rated lifting capacity at the applicable short-radius
load-chart condition. It does not mean the crane lifts 14,000 kg with the boom fully extended
to 19.6 m. Every lift must use the official load chart and account for boom angle, working
radius, outrigger position, truck level, ground bearing, wind, rigging, and local safety
rules.
An auxiliary hook, work basket, remote control, and moment-limiter system can be quoted as
options. They are not represented as standard equipment unless they appear in the signed order
configuration.
HOWO has a large installed base across many African markets. Common wear items such as
filters, clutch parts, brake components, and leaf-spring parts are often easier to source than
components for low-volume truck platforms. Actual local availability still varies by country,
so Kales can prepare a recommended spare-parts list against the selected chassis and crane
configuration.
For remote, mining-linked, or high-temperature work, the order review should cover tyre
pattern and load index, cooling condition, suspension, dust filtration, hydraulic-oil grade,
stabilizer support pads, operator training, and the availability of XCMG crane service
support.
Kales can coordinate chassis and crane configuration, cargo-body side height, export
documentation, customs clearance, sea freight, and destination-port delivery. Before
production or dispatch, the buyer should provide the destination country, cargo type, maximum
piece weight, required working radius, road conditions, job-site access, emission rules,
registration limits, lifting regulations, and destination port.
The quotation and final technical agreement should identify the exact engine, gearbox, axle,
tyre, cargo-body, crane, hydraulic, safety, and optional-equipment scope. Vehicle and crane
documents can then be checked before shipment against the agreed configuration.
